 Diana Sowers, M.S., CCC-A
graduated from Purdue University
with a Master’s of Science in Audiology, and has been an
audiologist in Kokomo for ten years. Diana has specialized
in amplification selection, patient training for
amplification usage, and special needs populations.
Actually, Diana considers each and every one of her patients
a special needs case whether that special need is a
patient’s complicated medical condition or something as
simple as upcoming travel arrangements, everyone has a
special need when it comes to getting the appropriate
medical care. In
addition to seeing patients at Hearing Center Inc., Diana
also provides audiological services including
neuro-audiological testing for otolaryngologist Dr. B.
Hovhanessian.
Diana’s husband of ten years,
Chuck, has worked in the medical field in Kokomo for eight
years. When Diana isn’t working with patients at Hearing
Center Inc., she spends her time playing and officiating
sports. For the past five years Diana has umpired slow
pitch softball including a national level tournament in
Kentucky. In addition to officiating softball, Diana also
plays softball. She also played co-ed volleyball, and has
played full contact football for two years with the Indiana
Speed, a women’s professional football team from
Indianapolis, as an offensive linewoman
As an audiologist, Diana feels
that the most important service that she can provide is
appropriate and honest customer service. “Counseling
patients is an important part of hearing aid use and
acceptance. Extra care and attention are given to each and
every patient. Over the years, my greatest referral source,
and greatest compliment, has been the large number of ‘word
of mouth’ referrals I have received from satisfied and happy
patients,” Diana says.
