HEARING AIDS

Digital hearing instruments are the newest technological alternative. Their complex computer chips are suitable for most hearing losses. Precision, in-office custom-fittings, and advanced problem solving flexibility are true advantages.  Digital offers the newest approach to processing sound and unparalleled sound quality.

Premium digital instruments have dual microphone technology. The two microphone system offers automatic directionality for picking up the weaker sound in front of you while decreasing the side noise input. This level also has automatic volume adjustment and noise reduction. Adjustment can also be made by ear level pushbutton, pocket handheld remote, or wristwatch remote control.

Midlevel digital hearing aids are another option. They are available with a manual volume control and ear level pushbutton access to different comfort programs in their hearing aids for noise reduction and telephone programming.

Entry Level digital hearing aids are suitable for most degrees of hearing loss. Manual volume controls and a single memory are beneficial for fairly quiet areas and while watching TV.

Completely-in-the-Canal This hearing aid style is the model considered the smallest design. The CIC recesses deep inside the ear canal with a snug comfortable fit with an almost completely hidden appearance.

Canal Hearing Aid This hearing aid style is the model slightly larger than the CIC that fits inside the canal with a snug comfortable fit that is slightly more noticeable when looking at the ear from a side angle but usually undetected looking from a frontal view.

Half-Shell Hearing Aid This hearing aid style is the model that is considered to fill half the ear (concha bowl) space. Again the fit is snug in the canal and slightly more noticeable than the smaller models. Dual microphone technology can be used with the half-shell model.

In-The-Ear Hearing Aid This hearing aid style is the model that fills the ear (concha bowl) completely. Considered a widely used model of hearing aid and used for dual microphone technology.

Behind-The-Ear Hearing Aid style is the model that fits behind the ear with an ear-piece attached that fits snugly in the ear canal and concha. These models will fit a wide range of hearing losses and technology options.

CROS and BICROS aids are options for special hearing needs.

Telecoil and Audio-Boots are options that are attainable for certain models/sizes/styles of hearing aids. Ask your hearing care professional about these other features.

ALL MODELS ARE CUSTOM FIT TO INDIVIDUAL EARS AND MAY VARY IN SIZE BECAUSE OF PERSONAL EAR SIZES.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES

A wide range of assistive listening devices are available to order or purchase for your every day needs. Infrared systems for television, and vibrating/flashing alarm clocks are just some of the devices available through Hearing Center, Inc. Other hearing aid supplies also available include wax guard systems, cleaning tools, cases and batteries. If a part is not on hand, just ask, and we will order the part or supply for your convenience.

BATTERIES

All sizes of hearing aid batteries are available. Purchases can be made in-office or ordered by phone and mailed directly to you. Special battery prices are also offered to you during the year. Packages come in 4 or 8 batteries per container.

PAYMENT

The total cost for the hearing aids must be paid at the start of the 30 day trial. Patients with insurance coverage for their hearing aids are exempt from this policy. Personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Cash, and prior approved 12 months same as cash are accepted.

REFUNDS

If you are not satisfied, your hearing instruments) may be exchanged for a different make or model; or returned for a refund. Returns must be in good working condition and be done within the 30 day trial period. Only the amount paid for the hearing aids) is refunded. Testing, ear mold and fitting fees are retained.

WARRANTY

  1. Phonak Warranty:
    Three year repair and loss warranty on all Phonak digital hearing aids. Additional warranty coverage can be purchased.
  2. Hearing aid costs include all follow-up services while the aids are under warranty.

Please call your audiologist if problems arise!

HEARING AID REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT WILL NOT EXTEND THE WARRANTY.
